What are your doing? Why are you doing it? Who benefits?
Is architecture only for those who can afford it?
This student-centred Super Studio frames participants as active and questioning agents in understanding and shaping their personal architectural values and career trajectories.
The studio develops architectural knowledge, skills and understanding before employing these in a studio built around live-issue, multi-stakeholder projects that support progressive shared-future clients and interests.
In 2019 – 2020 the A&A studio incorporates ‘ArchiLab’ a funded outreach project in North Belfast and has concentrated on two studies, the North Belfast Carezone and the York Street Interchange ‘Shatterzone, incorporating works at St Joseph’s Church, Sailortown and Limestone Road.
