My work centres around a consciousness and consideration of place. My design process reveals ideas through an investigation of the history of site and locality, looking to the past to inform its place in contemporary society. Purposeful choices are made to positively impact the surrounding area and residents, through giving back green spaces and opening up the buildings to the wider population.

My first project aims to encourage human connection with nature, capturing the essence of Glenarm’s Walled Garden. This is implemented at a residential scale, for a tangible connection between residents and the local landscape.

In my second project, I sought to flock people back into the city through the creation of a residential urban hub. Reimagined alleyways and lanes, inspired by the history of Goose Lane, connect private and public, encouraging conversation between residents and locals. The public courtyard gives residents the opportunity to enjoy greenery whilst promoting city living as a sustainable option. A contemporary adaption of a Georgian terrace is proposed on Winetavern Street, formed through a dissection of houses previously in the area. This terrace offers dwellings suitable for families in this city centre location.
